Design Principles

Architecture

A 1953 single-story brick home designed by Joe Lort Jr., a Denver designer strongly influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, and comprehensively and reverently renovated. The architect's original written instructions to the contractor, dated April 24, 1951, remain with the property. These are the decisions that define the space-what was preserved, how material was used, and the modern systems working quietly beneath a mid-century skin.
